HPC & BSHAA

All the Leightons Hearing Aid Dispensers are governed by the
Health Professional Council (HPC) and their professional
standards.
Prior to HPC, the private hearing aid industry in the UK was
governed by Hearing Aid Council which was disperesed in April
2010.
All Hearing Aid Audiologits or Hearing Aid Dispensers as they
are sometimes referred to, adhere to the rules of conduct, ethical
standards and procedures and are accountable to the HPC to meet
national standards for professional training and performance.

BSHAA is the professional body which represents and
promotes the interests of the independent hearing aid profession
mainly within Great Britain and Northern Ireland but globally
too.
BSHAA seeks to regulate professional and commercial
standards through a code of practice and ensure that members
(MSHAA) and fellows (FSHAA) are enrolled in a programme of
continuing education maintaining and developing their knowledge of
the rapidly expanding field of hearing aid
technology.
All the Leightons Hearing Aid Audiologists are members of the
BSHAA.
