A special invitation to attend Oticon’s global launch of Agil, in Copenhagen has been warmly welcomed by all the hearing aid audiologists at Leightons.
The two day launch will showcase Oticon’s new premium digital hearing aid called Agil. With international guest speakers from some of the leading minds in audiology, it will offer a masterclass on audiology and introduce Oticon’s next generation wireless hearing solutions. “It’s a real honour to have been invited to such a prestigious event, and to be at the cutting edge of the latest developments in hearing health care” comments Kevin Carlyon, Director of Leightons HearingCare.
There is already much excitement surrounding Oticon Agil, with claims that Agil will have the most advanced signal processing concept ever, offering exquisite speech understanding in noise. Agil marks the second-generation of premium wireless hearing instruments from Oticon, building on the success of Epoq. Agil is a wireless digital hearing aid that boasts an extensive range of features and benefits, but core to Oticon’s new approach to hearing care is the focus on taking speech understanding in noise, to a new level. And it’s here where Oticon Agil, is thought to stand alone.
At the global launch of Oticon Agil, Leightons Hearing Aid Audiologists, will be amongst the first in the world to learn about these new audiological concepts that make Oticon Agil so ground-breaking. These new audological concepts have been designed to preserve the natural characteristics of speech, while enriching the sound quality to enable the brain to use fewer of its resources for listening purposes. “It’s often one of the most pressing problems for someone suffering with hearing loss, that the concentration required to hear and follow normal conversations are so high, and this results in extreme tiredness. So I am so excited to be able to learn about, and experience the benefits of Oticon Agil, and the reduced cognitive efforts that it aims to provide” Comments Catriona Husband, Leightons Hearing Aid Audiologist.
Oticon Agil, will raise the bar for hearing aid wearers, where features such as “3D listening” will further bridge the gap, bringing impaired hearing, closer to natural hearing than ever before. Not only will Oticon Agil, be packed full of the latest technology to help elevate the listening experience but it will is also 30% smaller than Oticon Epoq! - already regarded by most to be a very discrete hearing aid. But even with Agil hearing aids becoming so much smaller, it also has the benefit of full wireless connectivity with TV’s, home telephones, mobile phones and other electronic devices.
The Oticon Agil range of hearing aids, also promises to offer every type of hearing loss the full range of styles, for example, a completely-in-the-canal (CIC) option is available for severe hearing losses.
"With Oticon Agil, we have virtually improved all the advanced features already available in Oticon Epoq. Our almost three years of everyday experience with wireless audiology and connectivity has given us valuable insights enabling us to bring forward a significantly better hearing solution. Says Niels Jacobsen, President & CEO of William Demant Holding.
“It is really exciting to be amongst a select group of hearing aid professionals invited to attend the global launch of Oticon Agil, and we are so keen to fully embrace these new concepts, in order to be able to share them in full with our customers at Leightons. Comments Ryan Leighton, Director at Leightons HearingCare.
