Talking about hearing loss

Miss. J. Nunn

“I was not put under any pressure to buy”

My hearing gradually became “difficult” which was a handicap to a musician. Sounds that were difficult to hear, included human voices – the pitches of which varied and therefore some voices were easier to hear than others. Size of room and its acoustics I found influenced my hearing abilities. Listening to music – I sometimes thought the pitch was “awry”.

I was absolutely satisfied with my test and was accompanied by a friend who was equally impressed. There was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. To be frightened before a test is a little unfortunate, one needs to test to clarify matters! I was not frightened. All matters were explained very clearly and questions from me, welcomed and I was not put under any pressure to buy.

“The after care service at Leightons is more than useful”

Human voices are clearly audible with my hearing aid. At concerts the acoustics of the venue are important so I have discovered, as musician this is important. Frequently “background” noises are ghastly but I am listing the places where I have experienced this. It is always a pleasure to walk home from the town and enjoy the sounds of the birds in the gardens. Meetings and parties I am learning to cope with.

The after care service at Leightons is more than useful – it is good. It is constructive and all questions are answered clearly and pleasantly.
